Read about the wonderful success of Latitude 2007.
Latitude festival
Once again, Latitude was a wonderful success raising £17,000 in total for Oxfam causes.
Whilst most of the UK huddled under their umbrellas this weekend, those of us at Latitude smugly sat back on the grass in the beautiful sunshine, supping our drinks and gazing at the colourful sheep grazing by the lake.
This boutique style festival is set in Henham Park, near Southwold on the sunset coast of Suffolk. There was a laid back and hippy-chic feel to the festival fully encompassed by the beautiful, flower-decorated entrances, the star-lit dusks and daisy painted loos!
Off duty stewards whiled away their time clay making, walking through the woods or enjoying the many tents including poetry, comedy and literature where blood curdling ghost stories could be heard!
The line up this year was impressive featuring Damien Rice, CSS and the wondrous The Arcade Fire. There is something simply magical about this festival so if you are keen to do some stewarding at, cast your eye upon the details below.
At this festival we cover such positions as day and weekend arena entrances, venues inside the arena as well as bridges and areas within camping. We work to the standard 3x8 hour shifts and have camping set back from the festival itself with our own staff toilets and showers. Just remember the bug spray for the enormous mozzies who seem to quite fancy a bit of steward!
Keep an eye on the website for details of how to apply next Spring 2008.
