Festival reviews 2007
If you whizzed up Glastonbury, Womad and the Big Chill in a blender you would pour out the Wychwood Festival.
Wychwood festival
An event that has quickly established itself as an award winning, 'class act' amongst the smaller festivals.
Oxfam stewards have been involved since it's launch in 2005 and as Wychwood grows in size and reputation it surely can't stay a secret for much longer.
Located on Cheltenham Racecourse, the festival is set to a backdrop of the Prestbury Hills. If the sheer beauty of the location isn't enough then this 3-day extravaganza has much more to offer. The Levellers, Gilles Peterson, Billy Bragg and many more acts have entertained the crowds. So many genres to choose from.
Oxfam stewards are helping this festival establish itself as one of the safest, cleanest and friendliest places to start your festival season.
Claire Hill – Deputy Shift Leader
Sadly, Oxfam will not be stewarding at Wychwood festival in 2008, and the festival will be organizing all their stewards in – house. If you are interested in working as a steward at Wychwood, they have already started recruiting, so go to their website:
